When to Apply to Design Science
Design Science is a residential program and only admits students for the Fall term. We conduct a holistic review of applications on a rolling basis, and M.S. applicants will normally receive an admissions decision within 6-8 weeks of the posted deadline.
Please note that since Design Science Ph.D. students are required to be advised by two faculty in their respective specialization fields, the collaborative advisor selection process may delay decisions somewhat.
Students are encouraged to note each deadline below and ensure they have adequate time to prepare and submit a fully complete application. Note that if an application is incomplete by the posted final deadline, the applicant must re-apply for a future term and pay the application fee again (application fees are non-refundable). International M.S. students are highly encouraged to apply for the Early Decision deadline, as it may require extra time to collect the necessary documentation for visa paperwork after admissions.
